16-bit SRAM PCMCIA Memory PC Cards Replaceable Battery
Synchrotech's 16-bit PCMCIA SRAM PC Cards are designed with the dual back-up battery system featuring a replaceable but non-rechargeable 3V lithium battery (primary battery) and an on-board rechargeable but non-replaceable battery (secondary battery) for data retention. This design allows replacement of primary battery without data loss for approximately 20 minutes. These replaceable battery models have access times of 120ns and a broad range of PCMCIA SRAM PC Card capacities. The cards are compatible with nearly all 16-bit PCMCIA SRAM PC Card applications and feature a write protect switch for preventing inadvertent erasure. The card's rigid stainless steel and plastic construction withstands harsh environmental conditions. Like most PCMCIA SRAM PC Cards, our 16-bit SRAM cards are available with 8K attribute or with no attribute memory. Most applications require PCMCIA SRAM PC Cards with an 8-bit data bus path. For applications requiring a 8-bit data bus path, please see our 16-bit SRAM PCMCIA Memory PC Cards Replaceable Battery. For more information on data bus paths, see our FAQ.

- About Attribute (2K or 8K Attribute)
- For devices that don't support the full Card Services standard, this CIS-like 2K or 8K storage tuple essentially informs the device what type of card has been inserted and in cases of storage cards, the capacity of the card. SRAM and Linear Flash are examples of cards that are available with or without a 2K or 8K Attribute. Types of devices that require attribute are usually lab equipment, embedded systems, PDAs and the like. For the most part, notebook computers support Card Services, and hence don't require attribute. When in question, check your device's documentation or contact you device manufacturer.
- The advertised memory capacity of this device represents unformatted capacity. Please note that once formatted and due to variations in addressing limitations, the functional storage space may be lower than the advertised capacity.
