The PCM-CR-PC1IR is an low cost high-performance PCI to PC Card Adapter supporting one 5 Volt card socket compliant with the 16 bit PC Card standard. The reader is intended for cost sensitive and OEM applications for 5V PC Cards in desktop computers. Unit complies with the 16 bit PC Card specifications and supports any combination of 8 bit or 16 bit PC Cards in the two sockets, powered at 5.0V. This reader does not support 32 bit CardBus or 3.3 Volt Cards.
The host system interface of reader is compliant with the PCI Local Bus Specifications. Unique software configured interrupt routing circuits, and necessary drive software is provided together for the reader to service IO cards requiring IRQ functionality from the socket. This enables the reader to support most 16 bit PC Card applications including: Wireless LAN Card (802.11b, Bluetooth, etc.), SRAM cards, Linear Flash cards, ATA cards, Modem cards and LAN cards as long as they are supported by the host operating system.
