PCI Express to Serial (RS-232) and Parallel (IEEE 1284) I/O 3 Port Host Adapter
Harnessing the powerful PCI Express capabilities on modern motherboards, the x1 PCI Express to Serial and Parallel I/O card adds two fast serial COM ports to computers for attaching fax/modems, bar code scanners, court reporters, data acquisition equipment, mag stripe readers, GPS receivers, digital cameras or other RS-232 serial devices. The PCIe card is a true host adapter with a built in 16C550 compatible UART with 16 byte transmit-receive FIFO with transfer rates of up to 115.2Kbps. The PCIe card also provides a 25-pin parallel IEEE 1284 port with SPP, EPP, and ECP capabilities for connecting to printers, scanners and other parallel port equipped peripherals.
