Synchrotech's UltiFire-2 FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 Combo Hard Drive Mini combine an aluminum portable case design with the latest Hitachi notebook drive mechanisms. Available in a broad range of capacities, these portable drives provide an easy way to access fast mass external storage. Featuring the latest generation of Prolific's PL3507 bridge technology, these drives provide throughput of up to 38MB/s sustained reads and 34MB/s sustained writes using FireWire®. The sturdy case is just barely larger than the drive it contains, and small enough to travel anywhere.
The Mini series will run on FireWire® bus power when used with host systems providing it, allowing for data access when away from available AC outlets. The drive includes both a single USB 2.0 port and a FireWire® 400 port.
